Who needs training wheels?!

It seems as though our "little" 4 year old (who hates when you say "little" and corrects with the "I'm a big boy" remark) has grown up overnight. He certainly is much more independent and that also seems to be rubbing off on his crazy little sisters too...YIKES! Needless to say, one of the biggest milestones for our little man since turning the big 4....

BYE BYE TRAINING WHEELS!! My fearless bike-rider who has doesn't mind falling or crashing to stop under certain circumstances has heighten this momma's level of anxiety...but what fun he has and what a joy to see his big SMILE! We couldn't be any prouder!!!

Hello 2013!

Well clearly I have been on a blogging hiatus, but I'm back and hope to remain a bit more dedicated to documenting our journey with 3 crazy, fun-loving, completely precious little Birds!

So long 2012....what a year! We definitely ended it with a bang!

We partied it up at KK & Koury's wedding.

We dressed the part and lived it up at Wurstfest this year....afterall Derek is officially an Opa.

 Does it get any cuter?
My little man!!! Yes, rocking the chuck taylors with lederhosen...awesome!

This momma turned 31...definitely not as hard as it was turning 30!

We celebrated Thanksgiving in true Flume fashion. Beyond blessed we are!

We honored and celebrated the life and faith of a truly special young lady and raised over $23K for her memorial fund at the inaugural Madeleine Memorial 5K Christmas Stroll...what a magical night! It was a privilege to be a part of this amazing event...www.madeleinehindmanmemorialfund.com!

My babies turned the BIG 2!!! It's hard to believe we now have two 2 year olds!!! It has all flown by so quickly and just reminds us to savor each day, each moment!

Christmas...my favorite holiday!!! It was awesome in every way....fellowship, food, family, fun! I haven't even begun to go through all the pictures yet:)

Then sickness overtook the Bird House...total bummer but I think we are finally recovering from it all.

We rang in the New Year in our dreams....yes, we are getting old! It was spectacular:)

Hello New Year.....Bye Bye Diapers!!! That's right folks, I potty-trained the twins.  If only I'd have been able to take pictures...it was pure craziness but totally worth it!

KK what?

Oh happy day! The little Birds are super excited about their new Uncle Koury!!! Their big day was picture perfect, fabulous in every way. We are beyond excited for them as they start their life as husband and wife, and we wish them all the happiness! If only they lived here and not Dallas:)

So, in preparation for their nuptials, I was explaining to the twins that KK was going to marry Koury and so her new name would be "KK Kahler". It's as if a light went off in their little heads and they both got the biggest grins on their face. I asked them to then tell me KK's new name and they proceeded to repeat "KK Chuck Taylor, KK Chuck Taylor!!!" Did I mention their favorite shoes are "chuck taylors"? Needless to say, they think that Koury and KK Chuck Taylor are awesome!!!!
The First Dance...isn't she a stunning bride?!

The Madeleine Memorial 5K Christmas Stroll

Thanks to the help and generosity of many, the first Madeleine Memorial 5K Christmas Stroll is scheduled for Saturday, December 15th, in Gruene Lake Village. This event was created to honor and remember the life and unwavering faith of Madeleine Hindman while growing a special ministry in her name. She has been an inspiration to many and the hope is that, with each mile, her memory will live on and that her legacy will flourish. Please join our family and many others, wear purple, and come run, walk, or simply cheer others on! Want more info...check out this awesome website (thanks to the lovely and talented Miss Megan Geist of splendid+spark): http://www.madeleinehindmanmemorialfund.com/

Divas and their Dude

My twins have turned into two little divas and their big brother is one super cool dude! Thanks to YaYa for giving these mini-fashionistas some dress up fun...
That's right, high heels and lots of jewels!

And since it is the job of YaYa and GoGo to spoil all of my kiddos, here is what Hudson earned by being such a wonderful student at school...
We are all so proud of you, Hudson!!!
Man, what a fantastic Monday:)

Just Beachy!

Well, I'm a bit late in posting....seems I am constantly behind these days:)
Happy Labor Day folks! We hope you all had a marvelous weekend. We were blessed to spend it away from hustle and bustle of work and phones and internet... but most importantly together as a family of 5! That's right, our first mini-vacation with our little Birds as a family. It was pure bliss!!! My great-uncle Eddie and his wife Saundra invited us, crazy little Birdies in tow, to spend the weekend at their house in Rockport.
BEACH, BOAT, PLAY, FISH, EAT, PLAY, FISH...oh how fun!
Here are some of the hundreds (yes, Uncle Eddie took close to 300) pictures from the trip...
The joys of traveling with kids and all their stuff!
 Hudson went straight to fishing!
 Sophia was not too sure
